I am an independent consultant, a centerpiece within the European Building-, Construction and Real Estate sectors from my 30+ years of professional experience in this exiting environment. I don?t restrict myself to entitlements like Market Intelligence Consultant, Chief Innovation Officer, M&A/ PMI Advisor or Disruption Ambassador but I feel confident proving my contribution as Chief Value Officer as I am frequently involved in commercial due diligence projects.
Donkers Market Intelligence entered the Expert Economy at the end of 2016 and fulfilled hundreds of challenging projects for private equities, investors, corporates and the larger consultancy firms. I am perfectly understanding the projects needs and goals in this dynamic industry and I provide high-level insights, experiences and opinions on the subjects that matter.
On my working experience:
I worked for the integrated steelmaker ArcelorMittal Construction Europe as divisional Chief Marketing Officer. My portfolio covered (Digital) Marketing, Pricing Strategy, Market Development, Sales, Innovation, R&D, IP and Product Development. I joined common interests and projects with other European divisions e.g. Long Products, Tubular, Distribution Services, Steel Plates, Automotive and benchmarked our businesses externally and internally (with ArcelorMittal businesses on other continents). I am familiar with the steel value chain from mining, manufacturing to engineered value propositions distributed by downstream business operations. I have a good understanding of the steel sector, trends, the competitive dynamics, the competitive landscape, the key players, opportunities/ threats and the outlook.
Kingspan Plc is recognized as the Technology Leader in the Building-, Construction and Real Estate Sectors all over the globe. I acted as an entrepreneur within this diversified multinational over 10+ years as Managing Director for Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg and finally as European Market Development Director. I positioned Kingspan as a pioneer, an innovative frontrunner of green building materials and transformed them into an integrated supplier of sustainable, energy-efficient building solutions. I took ownership for profitability (P&L), Sales, Marketing, Innovation, R&D, IP, Product Development, Public Affairs, Cross-Sector Alliances and Value Chain Stakeholder Engagement. Due to the growth ambition of Kingspan I have participated in a number of due diligence opportunities to reflect the commercial synergies of differentiated positioning strategies and multi-branding implementation.
IKO Group is a family-owned globally focused manufacturer of residential shingles, commercial roofing & waterproofing products, coatings, insulation systems and accessories. I joined IKO initially as Sales Manager for Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg and finally landed as Commercial Director Netherlands after acquiring Ruberoid Plc and their affiliated companies like Nebiprofa, Bitasco, Asphaltco, Aquaplan representing a high penetration level of revenues on the Dutch market. IKO established a diversified portfolio, started their Enertherm insulation manufacturing and developed an extensive distribution network among the professional distributors, building merchants, DIY chains and IKO Roofmart subsidiaries.
