Sameer has Business and Growth leadership experience of over 20 years across cross-border Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), Private Equity, Venture Capital, Corporate Venture Portfolio management, Investment banking (both buy-side and sell-side), Strategy and Corporate DevelopmentHe has been involved as Investment Partner to growth stage entrepreneurs and advisor to mature stage companies and management in growing business and to overseas companies to enter India. Also act as Mentor to young portfolio companies and entrepreneurs in scaling up their businesses.

Currently, Sameer functions as a freelancing professional as he builds Coverpage Ventures. Till the end of 2020, Sameer was part of the leadership team at Times Group, Heading the Portfolio Growth and Exits team at Brand Capital and involved in the full life-cycle of equity investments from entry to managing the entire equity investments/portfolio and originating and executing exits, both private and public markets. Sameer has guided the team to realise >US250mn in Brand Capital portfolio exits (+USD30mn during Covid induced lockdown) for the shareholders.

Prior to Times Group, Sameer has built and managed for 10years a global mid-market cross-border M&A alliance, now called Oaklins, for India's largest Bank - SBICAPs across 30 countries, while also originating and executing deals for/with companies in multiple global markets US/EU/MENA/SEA. Sameer started his career with the Mahindra Group in late 90s in Strategic Sourcing and also has served the Haribhakti Group for over 5years in the corporate finance team executing valuations, mergers, diligence and financing projects for their clients.
