Andrea Mogni works as a senior financial expert and consultant for various platforms including European and International Affairs, advising embassies, think tanks, NGOs, advocacy law firms and business associations. His focus is on European Union regulatory frameworks, some EU internal policies (Digital Europe, smart cities, Energy Union, Banking Union, research, international tax matters, and consumer protection regulatory frameworks), investment promotion, trade issues, programming and mobilization of EU financial instruments, EU relations with BRICS, EU business dialogues and EU development policies. He joined the European Commission in 1989, after having worked for the Italian administration. Andrea has almost 30 years of professional experience in working for the European Commission (Development, ECFIN, RELEX) and the European External Action Service as an economist senior policy officer He also has a long experience in organizing training courses, public diplomacy initiatives, inter-university cooperation, diplomatic relations, facilitating business contacts and cultural exchanges and negotiation/representation activities. Andrea has been appointed Visiting lecturer (charge de cours) at the Facultés de Saint Louis (FSL) - University of Louvain, Belgium, teaching European economic integration at Master level. He is also a member of the Centre Economie Paris Nord-CEPN of CNRS – France.
