Dr Somdutta Singh is a first-gen serial entrepreneur, angel investor, best-selling author and philanthropist. She is an MIT Alumna and an apprentice of Harvard Business School OPM and the Columbia University Presidents Program. An angel investor at 25, Dr. Som has had two highly successful multi-million dollar exits, the first one at the age of 26. She has invested in 50+ global startups. Her third entrepreneurial venture, Assiduus Global Inc, is a patent-pending middleware for cross-border E-commerce distribution and supply chain. In 2022, Assiduus helped generate over $300 million in revenue for Fortune 500 companies and SMEs across 20+ countries. Assiduus was honored with the 8th position at the 2022 Deloitte India Technology Fast 50 Award. In 2021, Assiduus was recognized as one of the top honorees on Inc. 5000 and is one of the only few PAT positive companies in the world. Dr Somdutta Singh is working relentlessly towards achieving her vision of making Assiduus Global a billion-dollar revenue generating enterprise by 2025. She aims to become the first woman of Asian descent to take her company IPO on a global stock exchange. She has been bestowed with 40+ Awards. Dr Singh has been recently bestowed the Prestigious "Champions of Change Award (Karnataka)" by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy (IFIE) for her exemplary work in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Social Development. She also been adjudged India’s 100 most influential women innovators in 2023 by Business World, the 2023 ET Inspiring Women Leaders Award, Times 40 Under 40 honour and featuring in Fortune India's 50 most powerful business women edition. She has received the 2019 IEEE-UN Women Impact Entrepreneur Award for Social Innovation, the 2017 Digital Leadership Award by Times of India and the 2017 Women Leadership Award by Economic Times. She has served as the youngest and only woman Vice-Chairperson of NASSCOM Product Council. She has facilitated the Government of India to form the visionary Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) by NITI Aayog helping enterprising women on their entrepreneurial journeys. As an ardent believer in giving back to society, Dr Som’s not-for-profit organization supports youth education and skill development. She is a celebrated author having published two best-sellers - Decoding Digital: Unlocking Digital Barriers and Stories from New India: Policies, Hope And Change. Outside of work, she is a trained Indian classical singer, an amateur golfer and a combat training and kickboxing enthusiast.
