Pei Ying Chua is a multidisciplinary economist and data leader working at the intersection of economics, workforce transformation, policy, and business strategy. As Head Economist for LinkedIn APAC, she leads data-driven research initiatives focused on workforce transformation, digital inclusion, and gender equity, partnering with governments and institutions to translate insights into practical outcomes.

Her work brings together economic data, labour-market trends, and evolving workforce dynamics across APAC, offering a practical perspective on how changing market conditions are shaping organisations and talent. She is particularly well placed to discuss data and trends that can help recruiters better understand the evolving hiring landscape and advise their clients.

Previously, as Head of Economics at Grab, she led cross-functional teams across product, engineering, data science, and operations on pricing, incentives, and platform strategy. She holds Master’s degrees in Neuroscience from the University of Cambridge and Business Management from Harvard University.
