Nic von Rupp, a 33-year-old Big Wave Surfer from Sintra, Portugal, is renowned for his fearless approach to conquering the world's heaviest waves. Born to a Portuguese, German, and Swiss heritage, he is fluent in five languages. Nic's remarkable skills and dynamic presence have earned him global recognition, establishing him as one of the most notorious surfers worldwide. He clinched 1st place at the 2025 Tudor Nazare Challenge and was awarded the Biggest Wave of the Year in 2023. A three-time winner of the Perfect Chapter in 2023, Nic also took 1st place at the 2022 Tudor Nazare Challenge. In 2021, he was named one of the 21 Most Influential Surfers by STAB, and in 2019, he was featured on Forbes' 30 under 30 DACH Region list.
