Captain Yashika is a decorated Kargil War veteran and one of the first female officers in the Indian Army to serve in high-altitude snowbound areas like Leh and Kargil. During the Kargil War, she performed her duties while pregnant, embodying resilience and courage. Post service, she led defence healthcare and inclusive education initiatives, including as Director of ECHS Polyclinics and Principal of Asha School for differently abled children.
