Procyon Mukherjee, 59, has been an industry leader in Supply Chain Management and Logistics; his career spans 35 years starting from Philips, Alcan Inc (Indian Aluminum Company), Hindalco, Novelis and LafargeHolcim. He has held senior leadership positions in Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply chain and Procurement. He served as President Logistics at Hindalco, President Operations and several unit head roles where he worked for 21 years, which also included M&A of $6 Billion acquisition of Novelis by Hindalco. He moved to Zurich as V.P. Supply Chain Novelis Europe (in six countries across 13 plants). Returning back to India he was President Hindalco Hirakud, the second largest Unit in Hindalco. Later he became CPO at LafargeHolcim India (Member of Executive Committee in ACC & Ambuja), steering sourcing/logistics across 35 plants of ACC & Ambuja Cement. Procyon Mukherjee specializes in a number of subjects that includes Circular Supply Chain, Sustainable Logistics, Strategic Sourcing, Leadership challenges in Sustainability in Industrial Organizations. He authored the book, "The Search for Value in Supply Chains". He serves now as Visiting Professor in S.P. Jain Global and SIOM and is the Adjunct Professor at SBUP. He is Director of the long duration Executive program at S.P. Jain Global on Operations and Supply Chains. He advises a number of leading Global Consulting firms. He is a Speaker on a range of subjects that include the ones highlighted. He writes in a number of monthly journals, including Indian Cement Review. An Alumnus of IIM Calcutta and Jadavpur University, he has completed the LH Senior Leadership Program at IVEY Academy at Western University, Canada.
