Indian Army Veteran, Infantry Major General with over 36 years of experience in leading troops in diverse terrain over vast geographies. Specialised in conduct of military operations and strategic intelligence related to the immediate neighbourhood. Was actively involved in handling issues during the War in Kargil at the Military Operations Directorate. At the same time is an  expert in matters related to the North East Region of India. Served in the UN Depatment of Peacekeeping Operations, UNHQ, New York,  during 9-11, the invasion of Iraq and commencement of military operatons in Afganistan. Also, served in the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Mozambique as a peacekeeper.   Receipient of the UN Peacekeeping Medal  twice and four Chief of Army Staff Commendation Cards, including one for gallantry. Widely travelled in India and abroad. Author of the book 'Saanu Ki'  and a  strong believer that saying 'Saanu K'i is the Key to Happiness.
