Kamna Chhibber Heads Mental Health for the Department of Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences at Fortis Healthcare. Having completed her MPhil in Clinical Psychology, she is a trained therapist working with children, adolescents and adults. She is passionate about working in the space of child-adolescent mental health, relationships, trauma and abuse.

 

She designs and creates programs for implementation in schools, corporate organizations and NGO's that are directed towards enhancing mental health and well-being. 

 

She is a writer and author of books and is regularly featured in publications on issues pertaining to mental health. The first book she has co-authored is titled 'Let Him Not Sink' which was published with Rupa Publication. It is a manual for adults who work with children that is designed to provide them information and knowledge to intervene when a mental health problem emerges. She has written 2 DIY Life Skills books for children for Macmillan Publishers titled 'Life Skills for Children' and 'Life Skills for Teenagers'. Her recent publication includes 'A to Z of Empathy', that enlists 26 skills which are critical in helping inculcate empathy in children and adults.

 

She has also co-created a comic series on mental health called 'Laugh n Learn with Dr. Parikh - Study and Exam Skills'. She also recently released 'A Mental Health Curriculum for Schools' published with Macmillan Publishers which is a module based manual that imparts much needed information about mental health and related aspects in schools. Her latest release is a book on parenting skills for Rupa Publications which is titled 'Raising Confident Children - A 52-week Guide for Parents'. 

 

Her upcoming books include a book pertaining to romantic relationships with HarperCollins Publications and one on anxiety in a series relating to mental health being published by Simon and Schuster.

 

Kamna is regularly featured on both online platforms as well as print publications for her views on mental health related topics. These include platforms like Times of India, The Quint, The Health Collective, Momspresso, Sheroes, to name a few. 

 

She also is keenly inclined towards academic publications and has several articles  published in leading International and Indian Journals. She also regularly presents academic papers at conferences. She is a part of the scientific committee for the InPACT Psychology conferences since the last 4 years. She is also the Conference Chair for the Fortis Annual Psychology Conference which has been organized for the last 3 years. 

 

Kamna is an invited speaker at various forums. She was recently invited for a TedX talk at Lucknow and has been a part of events like the TiE Sports and Fitness Summit, Times of India DesignX, and the Gurgaon Literature Festival.
