Dr. Manish Lunker was Associate Vice President- Marketing and Sales at Jindal Steel and Power since July 2013 till Mid 2017. He has over 25+ years of experience in the functional areas of marketing, sales, strategic planning, strategy deployment, business development and has exposure to the entire steel value chain and markets for flat steel, downstream products, and metallics and minerals. At Jindal, he is responsible for heading marketing and sales for the Gujrat region for both flat and long products. He is responsible for sales of HR plates and coils, heavy and medium structurals, rails, TMT rebars, wire rods, billets, blooms and rounds. He manages key accounts, stockyard sales and overall business development. Prior to this, he was General Manager- Marketing & Regional Sales Head, Western Region- Steel at Welspun Maxsteel from September 2009- July 2013. He was responsible for sale of steel metallics- DRI & HBI to large/mini steel plants with sales quantity of about 50,000-60,000 MT per month to OEM customers. He was also responsible for sale of iron ore fines/pellets to domestic and international markets. Previously, he was Deputy General Manager- Marketing at Ispat Industries from December 2004- September 2009. Ispat Group is a leading global manufacturer of flat steel. He was responsible for sale of flat steel to domestic OEM/trade segment. He handled all India sales of HR coils and slits over 50,000-60,000 MT per month to OEM customers, projects and construction, PEB and trade segment. He was also instrumental in developing business in new emerging areas of infrastructure like flyovers, skywalks, SEZ\'\'\'\'s, ports, highways etc. Earlier, he was Senior Manager- Marketing at JMC Group of companies from April 1999- July 2004 and Senior Manager- Commercial at Stainless India from October 1997- March 1999. He was also associated with companies like Reliance and BK Birla Group in Key Managerial Roles from July 1993- October 1997.
