Bhaskar Ramesh heads FMCG, Technology, Automotive, Media & Entertainment industries for Google India. In this role, he has been leading high performance teams that do consultative selling by strategically partnering large mass market companies and brands, driving business results through Digital. He specializes in advising CXOs on marketing in a digital world and how to transform their business in an increasingly Digital-First India.
Having been with Google for seven years, he successfully led YouTube monetisation for India and was responsible for its revenue and product strategy delivering hyper growth for Google’s video business. He also continues to be a member of YouTube’s Global Sales Leadership Council. Before that, he has been credited with building the FMCG practice for Google India from the ground up as its first Head of Industry growing the business 15X over in four years.
He is also a passionate marketer and business leader with 17 years of experience, having worked for Godrej, Marico and Reliance Broadcast Network in various capacities in Marketing and running their business.
In 2019, he got recognized as IMPACT 40 Under 40 in India. He is also an avid public speaker evangelizing digital and video at multiple Industry forums across India & APAC having delivered keynotes at CII Marketing Leadership Summit, United Nations Development Program [APAC], UBS, CLSA Global Summit, IIFL Summit, VDONXT, ad: tech etc.,
