LEADERSHIP LESSONS & A BARBELL BAR?

What’s the tie in? As it turns out, quite a few.

  • It teaches you to be a servant first. You quickly learn, if you think “serving is beneath you, then leadership is beyond you”.
  • It teaches you to build comfort around being uncomfortable. You know, the feeling of something cold, hard, rusty rough surface that rips your skin off, leaves you with calluses, a coarse swollen palm each time. Now compare that with having to LOVE those under your care even if you don’tLIKE them.
  • It teaches you to use your fear(s) as a COUNSELOR: You know the bar is unforgiving & leaves your palm bleeding & in pain for days.

But you know you’ve GOT TO ignore that fear and move the weight to the sides of the bar in order to grow (either by pulling it upwards or holding on to the bar while YOURSELF up).

Now, imagine the weights to be those under you’re care – you have been put in-charge of their development, which impacts the organization (both employees & customers by extension)

So, is your Leadership BAR tested?
