Narayan<\/strong>\u00a0had written in the English Teacher that\u00a0<strong><em>the method and approach of our education system has made us morons, cultural morons, but efficient clerks for business and administration offices.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As I have shifted from being into the corporate to an educationist now, I was privileged to meet a \u2018true\u2019 teacher. This write up is a reflection of her perspectives.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Teaching today has become facilitation, more than the archaic spoon feeding model. Classrooms should ideally become student \u2013 centred.\u00a0<strong>More than theory, the Indian students need practical applications of the concepts,<\/strong>\u00a0which is not the outlook of our Indian education system yet.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1506\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/speakinedit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/Quote.jpg?resize=523%2C84&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"Quote\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Sadhguru<\/strong>, in of his sessions, had remarked that\u00a0<strong><em>we need to dwell in the universe, and not universities<\/em>.<\/strong>\u00a0Thus, if an Indian youth has invested for attending the schools and universities, it should be the responsibility of a teacher to not just teach; but to create experiences.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Today, the teachers\u2019 responsibility areas have become multifarious. We\u2019ve\u00a0<strong>auditory<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>visual<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>kinesthetic learners<\/strong>; kinesthetic being the ones who would buy the concepts, only after experimenting themselves. Teachers also need to articulate their presentation efficiently and thus need to dedicate more time in their own research.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Parents also play an important role in creating success stories.<\/strong>\u00a0However, off late, schools have been citing parenting to be a potent impediment. One of the primary reasons being private tuition.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\r\n<p>THE KNOWLEDGE IMPARTED IN SCHOOL IS THE PRIMARY SOURCE OF INFORMATION FOR A CHILD, WHICH WHEN JUXTAPOSED WITH THE TUTOR\u2019S \u2018SECOND HAND\u2019 INFORMATION, BECOMES SPECULATIVE.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Parents need to believe in their investment towards the schools.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This article could serve as an eye opener, at such a critical time when social media could be a threat for teachers.\u00a0<strong>We need the likes of teachers like Ramakrishna Paramhans to craft students like Swami Vivekananda.<\/strong>\u00a0This \u2018true\u2019 teacher has stated that when she teaches, she sketches in the students\u2019 grey cells.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>How heart \u2013 rendering!
