H. Griffith is as follows:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">\r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>\u201cMay we attain that excellent glory of Savitar the god: So may he stimulate our prayers.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">\r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">The Mantra for attainment of happiness is<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">\r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">OM NAMAH SHIVAYA<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">\r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">A modern day translation of the mantra by Elizabeth Gilbert the author of her bestselling autobiography book and subsequent movie \u201cEat, Pray, Love\u201d is as follows:<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">\r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>\u201cHonor the divinity within me.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">\r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Both these mantra\u2019s have a universal appeal and can be chanted by anyone irrespective of their religious belief, however if you are uncomfortable chanting these mantras, I suggest you find a mantra within your own religion which you can chant.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">\r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>In Islam<\/strong>\u00a0there is a mantra of repeating the\u00a0<em><strong>99 names for Allah<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0which create similar\u00a0<em>positive vibrations<\/em>\u00a0for the faithful. Hence, two popular Muslim chants are<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">\r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">ALLAHU AKBAR<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">\r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">A translation of this mantra is:\u00a0<em><strong>God is great.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">\r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">BISMILLAH AL-RAHMAN, AL-RAHIM<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">\r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">A translation of this mantra is:\u00a0<em><strong>In the name of Allah, the most compassionate, the most merciful.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">\r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">Similarly, there are chants of all other religions.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">\r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">One of the shortcuts that I have employed is that\u00a0every morning I put these mantras on the audio system, and hear them first thing in the morning. Also, the other mantras are on my phone, and as I walk, I hear them on my headphones and chant along, ambivalent to what the other morning walkers are thinking or assuming about me.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">\r\n\r\n<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\">The word mantra is formed by joining two Sanskrit words \u201c<strong>man<\/strong>\u201d and \u201c<strong>tra<\/strong>\u201d, meaning\u00a0<strong>mind<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>freedom<\/strong>.
