About the Session:
Organizing your resume with a chronological/functional organization makes it easier for the hiring manager to quickly understand how you have applied your skills to each position and company you worked for. Think of your resume as an advertising brochure, and you're the product being sold. You have to be compelling enough to draw people in or they are never going to read your life story.
Structuring your resume professionally is essential when looking for a job, take advantage of things like bolding, bullet points etc and make your experience stand.
If you're wondering why you aren't getting responses to jobs you want, it might have something to do with how your resume is written.
1. Creating a compelling, targeted objective statement
2. Presenting your top skills and accomplishments
3. 'personality' words (i.e. detail-oriented, results oriented, etc.) that shouldn't be used
4. How to replace cliches with superlatives
5. Are hobbies and personal information required?
